รัฐบาลไทยเตรียมปรับลดมาตรการ ฟรีวีซ่า จากเดิมพำนักได้ 60 วัน เหลือเพียง 30 วัน โดย กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ (กต.) เตรียมเสนอเรื่องเข้าสู่ที่ประชุมคณะรัฐมนตรี (ครม.) ในเร็วๆ นี้ เพื่อยกระดับการคัดกรองนักท่องเที่ยว และป้องกันกลุ่มแฝงตัวเข้ามาทำงานผิดกฎหมาย โดยจะมุ่งเน้นผลักดันกลุ่มนักท่องเที่ยวคุณภาพและกลุ่มพำนักระยะยาว (Long Stay) ให้เข้าสู่ระบบวีซ่าที่ถูกต้องแทน

The Thai government is set to scale back its visa-exempt stay period from 60 days to 30 days. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is expected to present this proposal to the Cabinet soon, aiming to enhance security screening and prevent foreign nationals from working illegally. The policy shift signals a move toward attracting high-quality tourists and encouraging long-stay visitors to utilize proper visa categories.

นายสุรศักดิ์ พันธ์เจริญวรกุล รมว.การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา เปิดเผยว่าหลังจากทดลองใช้มาตรการ “ผ.60” ตั้งแต่ปี 2567 แม้จะช่วยกระตุ้นตัวเลขนักท่องเที่ยวได้ดี แต่กลับพบปัญหาด้านความมั่นคงและกลุ่มนักท่องเที่ยวไม่พึงประสงค์ใช้เป็นช่องว่างทำธุรกิจมืด

“ปัจจุบัน กต. ได้หารือร่วมกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องเสร็จสิ้นแล้ว และจะเร่งนำเสนอ ครม. เพื่อแก้ไขมติเดิมให้สอดรับกับสถานการณ์ปัจจุบัน”

Mr. Surasak Phanthacharoenworakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, revealed that while the “P.60” (60-day visa-free) scheme launched in 2024 successfully boosted arrivals, it also created security loopholes for “undesirable” groups to engage in illicit activities or “gray” businesses.

“The MFA has concluded discussions with relevant agencies and will expedite the proposal to the Cabinet to align regulations with the current security landscape,” the Minister stated.

มาตรการฟรีวีซ่า 60 วัน เริ่มใช้ครั้งแรกในเดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 เพื่อฟื้นฟูเศรษฐกิจ แต่ในปี 2569 รัฐบาลหันมาให้ความสำคัญกับ “คุณภาพ” มากกว่า “ปริมาณ” โดยผลักดันให้นักท่องเที่ยวที่ต้องการอยู่ยาวหันไปใช้ Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) แทน

Originally implemented in July 2024 to revive the post-pandemic economy, the 60-day exemption covered 93 countries. However, by 2026, the government’s priority has shifted from “quantity” to “quality.” Tourists wishing to stay longer are now encouraged to apply for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), which requires financial verification.
